At the easternmost point of West Friesland lies Enkhuizen, which owes its prosperity to the Zuiderzee in the Dutch Golden Age. In the town centre there is still much that recalls the VOC period, such as the 16th-century Drommedaris tower. Besides the old town, the Zuiderzee Museum also gives a picture of life and history by the sea. The Enkhuizer Almanak (almanac) also comes from here. Enkhuizen has had city rights for more than 650 years and has a lot to offer: nice little shops and restaurants, all in a unique VOC setting.
Close to the holiday home there are several restaurants and terraces where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
The holiday home is 800 m from the station.
